A consulting practice can only be taken to a certain level by a
sole-practitioner consultant, even one with star power. A sole
practitioner can only have so much experience, and there are just so
many consulting hours per year. And many of the more lucrative
consulting assignments are simply out of reach for individual
consultants. In consulting, bigger is often better.
At our May 6 IMC Orange County breakfast
meeting, explore two possible growth models that could take your
consulting practice to the next level:
- Nick Testa, CEO of Acuity Consulting,
will share how he built his consulting practice from inception
in mid-2001 to a team of up to 17 people. Learn why he took on
the challenge of having employees as well as associates, and
what steps he took to build his organization and survive.
-
Jim Ayers, Principal, CGR Management Consultants, will
present the CGR model. CGR is a collaborative group of
consultants with related practices. It consists of seven individual consultants
who pool their resources as needed to present the image of a larger firm with
a wide range of services and in-depth functional expertise.
