ORANGE COUNTY IMC BREAKFAST MEETING - July 14, 2006

Tools & Tips for Consultants in Navigating Generational Diversity
With Amy Hirsh Robinson , Principal, The Interchange Group

Understanding the differences that we are facing with FOUR DISTINCT GENERATIONS in the workforce is imperative for success in management consulting.

For example, while 80% of Generation Xers say availability of training is a major factor in choosing a new job, Baby Boomers complain that this “free agent” generation hops jobs too often to justify the investment. Millennials, the newest generation to enter the workforce, are challenging the very concept of industrial age hierarchical management in favor of collaborative networks.

“Engagement” is the new buzzword of Corporate America, but how do businesses keep the most diverse workforce in American history engaged when the differences between generations are so great? And how can Management Consultants navigate the divide and add value to this timely and controversial issue?

On Friday, July 14, don't miss our fun and interactive IMC session, which will provide insight into the myths and facts about the different generations, explore the divergent communication styles, attitudes toward work and personal motivations for each, and offer tools for leveraging generational diversity to manage change and increase your competitive advantage as a consultant.

Don't miss this all important breakfast meeting on July 14, which will be very informative as well as a great networking experience with your fellow consultants in the greater Orange County area. Expect a lively discussion with lots of practical examples
