IMC SoCal Monthly Meeting - September 20, 2005

Agencies, Brokers and Directories - Oh My!
How to Get More Consulting Jobs

Find out how to expand your practice by using one or all of the many services that help consultants get more jobs. This program is information-packed, including a workshop by a local federal assistance program and a dinner program panel of representatives of the companies that put together consultants and clients in one way or another and the consultants who use them.

Our two-part program starts at 4 PM with a workshop by the Western Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, which provides a cost-sharing federal assistance program that pays half of the cost of consultants or industry-specific experts for various projects to improve a manufacturer's competitiveness. During the workshop you will learn what companies qualify for WTAAC assistance, how they can apply, and how you as a consultant can get involved by referring potential clients and bidding on jobs.

The second part of our program is an interactive panel, moderated by our very own dynamic sales consultant, Mark Friedman. During this panel discussion, you will learn how each organization works and what they look for in the consultants that they refer to jobs. You will also hear from consultants who have the inside scoop about working with agencies and agents and subscribing to consultant broker services or online directories.
